Located in Raymond Washington, Pitchwood Alehouse offers a cozy atmosphere, a wide variety of craft beer, and award winning food. The Pitchwood Alehouse was established shortly after the Top Notch Tavern came under new ownership in May of 2012. The Top Notch opened in 1934 to a rowdy crowd of loggers. During its pinnacle it was known for its rough and sometimes disorderly clientele. While new ownership arrives with a new brand and ushers in a new clientele, the history of the Top Notch Tavern and the rowdy logging industry is not forgotten. Pitchwood Alehouse aims to lure travelers to the oft-forgotten downtown core of Raymond with the promise of great food made with fresh ingredients, a wide selection of draft beer (19 taps), and friendly service. In the Best of Twin Harbors 2017, the Pitchwood was proudly honored for Best Lunch and Best Wait Staff while taking runner up for Best Burger and Best Mixed Drinks. We have received 2015 and 2016 Certificate of Excellence awards from TripAdvisor and we were Traveler's Companion's Best Burger in Southwest Washington.
